If you want to play, we must get one of the following form from
you:
DMZ Airsoft Liability Form - Although we enforce safety for
every airsoft player at DMZ, we must take the extra step of
protecting ourselves as much as possible. A signed DMZ Airsoft
Liability form is your acknowledgment that you are fully aware of
the risks associated with airsoft. Once we have your liability form
on file, you won't have to do one again.
DMZ Airsoft Parental Consent - (READ this MINORS)
Verifiable proof means, the waiver is signed, and a phone number
where we can contact the parent before the child plays. If we call
and can not get ahold of the parent, the child will not play.
NOTE: If the Player is 16 and up current laws and insurance
allow for the player to play with just a copy of their ID and a
signed waiver.
HERE ARE THE FORMS:
http://dmzairsoft.com/forms.html
Airsoft is meant to be a fun game. Rules are designed not to
restrict but protect the safety of its participants and ensure each
player has a good time. In developing these rules, we tried to
cover realism, game play and safety. We must also keep in mind we
have minors playing and that makes adhering to the rules even more
important. Please monitor language and the use of force when
engaging a minor. Please ensure you lock your vehicle and secure
all your belongings. If there are issues among players they are
encouraged to settle them amongst themselves. DMZ Airsoft Tribunal
will not baby sit players. If the players cannot solve the issue on
their own and become a distraction to others players, both players
will be asked to leave. If police or any other law enforcement
official appears on the field, place weapons on the ground and
one-person approach to find out what the situation is.
Field Ejection Rules- A two warning system- you will get
asked to leave for breaking any field rules, charged with cheating
by two different people not on the same team, during two separate
games. First time you are caught cheating you will get a warning.
Second time you will be barred for the day. Any unsafe or rude
behavior not covered by field rules will be at the discretion of
DMZ Airsoft representatives. Anything that is illegal off the field
is illegal on the field. DMZ AIRSOFT reserves the right to change
rules as needed to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Behavior that will result in a day/permanent ban and or the
police being called out:
Repeatedly not calling your hits
Disrespect to another player or players (example-you angrily yell
and curse at another player. That player or another player asks you
to stop, but you continue)
Stealing
Fighting
Illegal drug use
Drinking alcohol AT ANY TIME
Property damage
Explosives
Real firearms
Staging Area
While in the DMZ Staging Area,
NO WEAPONS WILL BE FIRED or
raised in a position that may be perceived as being fired. Weapons
will not be fired near others. Only aim and shoot in the direction
of the Chrono set up while in staging area (for safety).
Field cleanliness.
All trash must be picked up prior to leaving. Smokers please strip
your butts and throw them in the trash.
All player weapons will be chronoed. There will be no
exception. If a player shows up during a game, they must wait until
the game is finished to play. A .2-gram BB will be used during
chrono. An orange piece of tape will be placed on weapons barrel as
they are checked to signify it meets safety limits.
Velocity Limits
350 fps limit with .2 gram BB for all indoor CQB style games
Personal Protection
Goggles REQUIRED. Impact rated (meets or exceeds ANSI standards)
fully sealed goggles must be worn at all times on the game fields,
or wraps that meet ANSI or Z-87 ratings (baklava/headscarf)
Standard eyewear is not acceptable (regular
eyeglasses/sunglasses)
Full-face protection is required.
Surrender Rule
In outdoor, or non-CQB situations, an order to surrender can only
be given within 10 feet. All players ordered to surrender MUST
COMPLY. It is conceivable that a player can sneak up to within 10
feet of a group of players and order all of them to surrender.
Please use common sense when using this rule. This rule is about
safety. We understand things happen in the heat of battle. If you
are surrounded and pinned down by a group of players and you know
there is no other alternative except getting shot, you might want
to surrender on your own.
Eliminations
Any hit from a BB anywhere on your body is an
elimination (unless stated otherwise prior to playing).
Gun hits do not count.
Ricochets do not count. Any hit from a BB ricocheting off an object
close to you (wall, tree, your gun, etc.) don’t count.
Friendly fire (hits from teammates) counts.
In the event of elimination, the eliminated player must yell,
"HIT!” No false calls. Put on your "DEAD HAT/RAG" or simply raise
your arms with your weapon above your head.
If the area is clear, the eliminated player immediately exits the
playing area in the most direct route possible. If necessary, call
out "HIT!" numerous times to prevent from being shot again.
If the area is "hot", the eliminated player(s) lie down on the
ground and wait. It may be necessary to keep yelling, "HIT!” When
the area clears, exit as described above.
While exiting, the only word from an eliminated player must be
"HIT" and nothing else. Dead men tell no tales.
Eliminated players may leave equipment at the spot of elimination
for use of the "surviving" members. This is at the discretion of
the eliminated player. Equipment must be retrieved at the spot
where the player was eliminated.
Eliminated players will not fire their weapon while leaving the
battlefield.
A note on identifying hits:
When you THINK you may have gotten hit by a BB you should declare
yourself hit and walk off the field. Sometimes it is VERY hard to
tell if you have been hit. However, if someone fires a full-auto
burst at you and you have nothing but soft cover (i.e. bushes, tall
grass, etc) you probably got hit and could not tell. About the only
exception is if you are lying prone on the ground and facing your
attacker. Since about the only thing you have exposed is your head
feeling a BB hit is MUCH easier and much less debatable. Before you
accuse someone of cheating ensure you are aware of your
surroundings. Is the person behind a tree, bush, or in a hole?
Please also keep in mind what the person has on. Depending on the
amount of gear they have on the player may simply not have felt
it.
Variations (rule variations will be announced prior to game
start)
Nashville Rules: Only hits to the head and torso count. Hits to the
limbs DO NOT count. All other rules apply.
Medic Rules:
Instead of exiting the playing field, the 'wounded' player lies
down, stays where he/she is, and calls "MEDIC!" The team's
designated medic must get to the player to reactivate the
player.
The wounded player cannot fire.
The wounded player may talk to teammates regarding enemy positions,
etc.
The wounded player may move to a new location only if escorted by
live players.
Pyro/Grenades
No paint grenades allowed. No Smoke grenades allowed. No fireworks
allowed. Absolutely No pyrotechnics of any kind allowed. Use of
unauthorized devices is subject to immediate dismissal and
disbarment from future events.
